A ventilation rate of 50’-60’ per minute allows us indefinitely to suspend a particle of metallic dust. We prevent this dust from falling out of the airstream, so we can continually capture it in the dust collector as it is generated. This ensures that our blast rooms do not exhibit the poor visibility associated with many other solutions on the market.
Our design ensures that air enters the blasting room at a high level and exits at a low level. The air, and airborne particles, work with gravity, rather than against it. Most other manufacturers don’t do this, because it requires sophisticated air inlet and outlet fabrications to prevent fugitive emissions of abrasive particles. Instead, they attempt to extract dust at a high level, which means the dust collection system is working against gravity. This tends to result in a dusty blasting environment and poor visibility.
By focusing on dust collection and ventilation, Airblast AFC provides a virtually dust-free blasting environment. This results in greater efficiency over time and is safer for the operator.
